I had the definitive scan called a Cardiac PYP. You’ll probably have to get this at a hospital. Look it up then discuss w cardio!

Nope the machine for the PYP is usually at a large hospital campus. Talk to your cardiologist! Ask for it. If you don’t ask, you don’t get.

Signs of amyloidosis can be seen in echocardiograms nut not by the majority of cardiologists whose skill set doesn't include comprehensive or accurate reading of echocardiograms. Mine was totally incompetent and failed to read 2 of my echocardiograms correctly.

TTE is useful in work-up, but not diagnostic by itself. It’s a relatively inexpensive and painless way to monitor the function and dimensions of an amyloid heart if you have one.
