Onpattro Vs Amvuttra
A MyAmyloidosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

After being on Onpattro for 6 months (with great improvement) I was switched to Amvuttra. I received the first shot in December 2022 and scheduled for next one on March 22, 2023. I have noticed a huge decline similar to my pre Onpattro
days. I think I should switch back to Onpattro and will discuss with my doctor on Thursday....6 days before next shot. Can I get feedback? Anyone relate?

Hello:

I sent you a direct email response on yesterday via email! Unfortunately, the short answer is I don’t know given I just received my diagnosis two weeks ago. I’m still waiting to find out what type of Amyloidosis I have and get a treatment plan!

Thanks,

Percy

will tell you my opinion on this drug . My dad has received two injections of this drug and he hasn't been the same man . He has had an adverse reaction extreme pain in joints arm , knee , foot . He has been admitted into hospital twice . There was a pattern two first injection 2nd June 6 days later admitted into hospital . Second injection 31st augest 7 days later back to hospital . Our care provider is trying to say it's not the injection but all stated on adverse side effects this is my dad . We are no longer carrying on with AMVUTTRA . 6 doctors are saying it's a bad reaction but centre is saying it's not . Now my dad has been left in extreme pain . I know we are very unlucky this has happened to us but just look out for the side effects . Just not fair that care providers are now denying that's it's the injection . Sorry for going on I am so annoyed with what's going on to my dad . But hopefully you'll be fine just keep an eye out . Good luck

Loise, everyone wants to switch to Amvuttra....same medicine but a quick shot every 3 months beats 4 hour infusion every 3 weeks. I start back on Onpattro next week.
