This was discussed yesterday at the big TTR meeting in Chicago. It is an excellent option if you are unable to afford Vyndamax or Vyndaqel. However, Diflunisal is an NSAID, which can be bad for someone who has kidney problems. You should be monitored closely while on the drug to make sure it is not causing kidney damage. It can also be hard on the stomach for some people, but if you can tolerate it, it does help suppress the circulating TTR.
