What Is Recommended For Stiffness And Or Pain?
A MyAmyloidosisTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am getting velcaide injections every other week. Sometimes I have stiffness in my back and swelling in my lower legs. Sometimes use Tylenol for pain and was given tramadol. I don't want to use too much pain medicine. Any suggestions? Injections are working to lower protein numbers.

I know it’s uncomfortable but keep moving. Walking is great.

Consider an underdesk bike machine. Sunny offers a quality product at a decent price. This will increase you leg circulation and you will see immediate results.

Hello Diana—the thing that helped me the most was going for walks. Some days they were quite slow. Other days I felt better and could walk faster and/or farther.

I take Torsemide (20 mg) and spironolactone (12.5 mg) each morning for the swelling in my lower extremities. The swelling is much better than before my diagnosis in early March, 2023, and subsequent treatment.

I wish you the best in the days and weeks ahead.
