I went out and purchased a walker by my bed also Sara2. What a difference that made! Not sure whether the confidence was a factor but I do not feel unsteady after the first night on the walker by the bed.

Yeah you just have to focus on the positive and not worry to much about the negative affects. I lost a lot of muscle mass due to amyloidos and can't seem to gain any weight so I've been focusing on maintaining the weight I have and not losing anymore.

Don't give up! Your symptoms can be managed and you can find ways to enjoy life. Everyone can if they try.

Edward I use my walker when I walk long distances. I’m up to anywhere from 4K to 6k steps a day now. In April I could even do 600! The walker definitely helps with balance issues

The weight loss, how much muscle strength you lose, the swelling in my legs and the shortness of breath really took me surprise.
