I tried Mucinex at a Primary Doctor's advice and found it beneficial. It is an expectorant that works. Shortly after, my daughter came down with a tiredness and mucous problem and started taking the Mucinex. Lo and behold, she needed a Doctor's note to return to work and the physician tested her for flu, RSV, Covid and found nothing wrong. Therefore, it was suggested she continue with the Mucinex. Lo and behold, her symptoms subsided soon after. I stopped taking the Mucinex a few months ago and now I need the Mucinex again.

Once a day. Initially, I tried first thing in the morning but then by evening the mucous problem came back. Then I started later in the morning and found it best. Initially, when I started, I took it twice a day but I believed that to be excessive.
