Members shared their experiences with nerve damage in their feet and toes, describing symptoms ranging from numbness below the knees to sharp, sudden zapping pains that bring tears and make it difficult to walk or even wear socks. Several members described treatments and strategies they have tried, including prescription medications like Vyndamax, Amvuttra, gabapentin, and Lyrica, as well as B-complex vitamins with varying degrees of relief, while many emphasized the need for canes to maintain balance and manage frequent falls. A recurring theme was the frustration that current treatments primarily slow progression rather than reverse damage, with members expressing hope for emerging drugs that might remove amyloid deposits while acknowledging uncertainty about whether nerve function can be restored once damaged.

Well, I have had vascular doctor check my blood flow and he said my toes were not getting enough blood. So he cleaned out my arteries both calfs. Had to put 3 stents in the left calf. Had US and said blood flow OK. However, my toes still go numb and get very sharp pains. Neurologist recommended vitamin B compound, I just ordered 90 day supply made up according to rx and pray it works. According to NIH research has shown that B1,B6 and B12 has shown to help nerve pain and regenerate nerves. I can't take gabapentin and opioid don't help nerve pain. I will let the group know if it helps. If anyone has used Vitamins B for nerve pain please let me know

Just curious why isn't the medical field trying to figure out a way to flush out the amyloids form our tissues.... they seem to be concentrated on drugs that slow it's progression down only.
