A MyAmyloidosisTeam Subscriber asked a question 💭

My partner used Dex at the beginning of his treatment but had to come off it as he became irrational. Could it be used again as part of monthly treatment as his Al Amyloid is in his heart and kidneys with kidneys at CK3

What daily dose of dex was he on previously? Some patients are started off on 40 mg daily but cannot tolerate that high of a dose. 20mg seems to be more tolerable for many patients but I also know some that only take 4 or 8 mg per day. Speak with the doctor to see if they would reduce the dose from what was originally taken.

I feel better on it rather than off it.
