Dear Shirley, you ask three questions of me. To the first I have no knowledge and to the others I can only speak from personal experience. Bruising, yes I bruise easily, often without any idea as to cause. Leg pain is contentious, my right leg can get very painful from knee to toe with even mild use. I have been told that it is a blood flow problem but I am not so sure, peripheral neuropathy comes to mind and if the heart is not functioning as it should due to amyloidosis then the reduced flow caused might well be affecting my leg. All will be revealed when I get my TEVI valve later this year.Hope that helps, John

Sorry to hear about the loss of your limb… you are right about things being hard , especially when life throws difficult and unexpected occurrences in your daily living.. may you have the strength and courage to seek the better sentiments of life, and continue to live fully as possible

I get it!! Due to poor circulation, on Christmas eve 2025. I had to have my left leg amputated!! There was no blood flow in my toes etc. I had already had intervention with stents, however they closed up. Smoking didn't help either. Be careful my heart doesn't pump like it should either, due to amyloidosis. Be careful I had no idea It would cause me to lose my leg. Now everything is hard, I am still adjusting to my new way of living. God bless

Hi Shirley. I have black rings around my legs at the ankles. My blood pools there because of the poor circulation. My blood doesn’t pump back to my heart the way it should. I’ve had treatments to open my veins but nothing really helps. The black rings are because of the pooling. The chronic swelling in in my legs caused my lymphedema. These are ulcers that that turn into blisters that I have to dress and cover. They are pretty painful until they burst. But the build up of fluid and blood is also uncureable as is my amyloidosis but they are separate diseases. God bless you my friend.
