Great news — there are now three FDA-approved treatments for ATTR-CM, and the outlook has improved significantly in recent years. All three have shown strong results in clinical trials, improving survival, reducing hospitalizations, and boosting quality of life.

Here are the current approved options:

- Tafamidis (Vyndamax) — an oral pill that stabilizes the TTR protein to prevent it from misfolding and building up
- Acoramidis (Attruby) — another oral stabilizer that works similarly to tafamidis
- Vutrisiran (Amvuttra) — an injection given every three months that reduces the liver's production of TTR protein by around 80–85% None of these treatments cure ATTR-CM or reverse existing damage, but they can significantly slow the disease's progression. Early treatment appears to offer the greatest benefit, so timing really does matter here.

Research is ongoing, and more treatment options are expected in the coming years. A cardiologist familiar with ATTR-CM is the best person to help figure out which option suits your specific situation.
