I have so many signs and symptoms of Amyloidosis; from cardiac hypertrophy to ruptured bicep tendon to stiff heart to enlarged tongue, but a negative biopsy. Help??
Thank you.
Cardiac MRI's (with contrast medium) and PYP scans (technetium 99) are very diagnostic when biopsies are negative. Blood work for light chains can diagnose a specific type also.
What did they biopsy? Have you had a PYP scan? Blood work?
