I have this side effect. Remember to get up slowly. But if you are still dizzy, sit down, put your head between your knees… this will help bring back blood up to the brain.
Wait a short while, then slowly get up.. A bit of a process, but better than fainting.

The question appears to be about postural hypotension (low blood pressure when standing), rather than hypertension. Postural hypotension is a common symptom affecting 40-60% of people with amyloidosis. This condition occurs when blood pressure drops sharply upon standing up from a sitting or lying position.

Common symptoms include:
• Feeling lightheaded or dizzy when standing
• Potential fainting episodes
• Unsteadiness
• Risk of falls If you're experiencing frequent dizziness when standing, especially if it's been occurring for weeks or months, it's important to consult with your doctor. This symptom can be particularly concerning if it's not related to common causes like prolonged bed rest or dehydration.
