Pushing it would be great if it worked, however, it won't stop it. Can you apply for a research study? Big hospitals are offering studies. Then again I am close to Boston so we have a lot of research/studies going on. The application process to qualify is grueling but it's worth looking into.

While it's great that your husband is motivated to stay active, pushing too hard with exercise when dealing with cardiac amyloidosis can be dangerous. The heart muscle is already under strain from amyloid deposits, which make it harder for the heart to pump blood efficiently. This condition can progress quickly and requires careful monitoring.
Key concerns:
• Amyloid deposits make heart walls stiff
• The heart's pumping action is already weakened
• Risk of irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias)
• Increased risk of complications It's strongly recommended to wait for the heart biopsy results before continuing intense workouts. A heart biopsy is the most accurate way to confirm cardiac amyloidosis and will help doctors determine the best treatment plan. Until then, he should discuss appropriate exercise levels with his healthcare team to ensure he's not putting unnecessary strain on his heart.
