I believe that Entresto helped my heart tremendously.. my ejection fraction was 20-25....with Entresto, I feel a lot better and now about 1 year after starting it my ejection fraction is 40-45.. however when I first started Entresto..they also started me on spironolactone a diruetic...which gave me kidney failure. Didn't know which drug it was...so I had to go off everything for a month then started one thing at a time.

I was about to fill my script for Entresto and after substantial research elected to not fill it. A few months later, learn more that confirmed that i made the right decision for me. Apparently it does something of benefit for many people. I trust my provider but investigate each new med thoroughly and occasionally reach a different conclusion. As Regan said trust but verify.

The search results don't include specific information about Entresto (sacubitril/valsartan) for wild-type ATTR amyloidosis or member experiences with this medication.

However, it's worth noting that you're already on two FDA-approved ATTR treatments:

* Vyndamax - A TTR stabilizer that prevents protein misfolding
* Amvuttra - Reduces TTR protein production in the liver

These medications specifically target the amyloid buildup process. Entresto is typically used to manage heart failure symptoms, which can occur when ATTR affects the heart (ATTR-CM).

Your other medications (Jardiance and a diuretic) also help manage heart-related symptoms. This combination suggests your care team is addressing both the underlying ATTR disease and heart function.

Since wild-type ATTR primarily affects the heart, your doctor may have prescribed Entresto to help your heart work more efficiently alongside your ATTR-specific treatments.

For specific experiences with Entresto, you might want to post this question directly to the MyAmyloidosisTeam community, where members can share their personal experiences with this medication combination.
