I would suggest that you see your Neurologist who will likely recommend an MRI. Spinal stenosis is a common symptom.
I was diagnosed with HATTR in June of 2023. I was diagnosed with Spinal Stenosis in that Fall after an MRI, not necessarily caused by HATTR, but after a year of physical therapy, I finally opted for lumbar fusion. All 4 samples from the surgery came back positive for Amyloidosis.
Doing much better after surgery, but your treatment is personal decision that you want to make after being fully informed of what you are dealing with. Hopefully, your issues are more easily treatable.

My neurologist told me that it is one of the affects of hATTR. It showed up on an earlier MRI-3 years ago and I’m scheduled to take another MRI. He wanted to immediately refer me to a surgeon. I want to wait until after these new results. I have heard how many felt better after surgery. I saw my mother improve after the surgery—however she was not diagnosed for the disease at that time. She was diagnosed 3 years later because her heart stopped and she was taken to shock trama. The doctors found the disease while she was in ICU. That occurred in 2019 and she passed away on 2020.
