Conditions that can cause a heavy feeling in the legs include varicose veins, restless legs syndrome, chronic venous insufficiency, peripheral arterial disease, lymphedema, and lipedema. It can also occur due to overtraining, obesity, and pregnancy. Treatments for heavy legs can depend on the underlying cause.
