Hi, Shirley!
Yes, sleep is a constant problem for me.. there are nights I’m still wide awake at 3 AM! I’m so tired when I go to bed but then toss and turn forever. Therefore exhausted during the day. I hope you can find a good outcome.. sleep is so important for our daily fitness…

I also have difficulty getting a good nights sleep. It may be do to some of the medicines I am taking.. I usually get one and a half to 2 1/2 hours of sleep at a time. But to compensate I end up taking some daytime naps.
I am dictating this so please pardon the spellings.

Unfortunately even when I get a good night's sleep I fight fatigue all day. This illness has tucked the life out of me. I'm trying to be kind to myself about not being able to physically do as much as I used to. The AL has so far affected my heart (stiffness) shortness of breath and my lungs. But, grateful that I can still take care of myself! Being grateful for the little things really helps me a lot.

I've had problems with sleep long before my diagnosis. Now even with a cpap machine, I never feel rested. Without medication, I wouldn't get much sleep, but I don't think it's the amyloidosis, various pains don't help.

Well another Ammy guy but been a long while and yes had all those sleep things and then the Sleep tests and a machine .. Never really got the machine happening as the shunt of air woke me up ... BUT reason I got into the conversation .. I quit the machine and got a withings watch that monitored me and soon I realised I did not need a machine . BUT to get to sleep with the machine and I still use the system now .. I went to a hypnotic mate who got into my head and he said . " Did you ever go scuba diving ? "I sad yes . So he said well when you put the mask on you are sitting on the side of the boat about to drop into the water . You drop in and the water is so so blue and the coral and fish are so colourful and then within 5 minutes you will be asleep. To this day I go diving and wow so easy .Only issue is sometimes my wife wants a cuddle so takes a little longer .. Life is good 😇...
