Yes, skin manifestations are common with cutaneous amyloidosis. These can appear as itchy patches or bumps on various parts of the body, including the legs and ankles. The appearance can vary from small bumps to patches that may look similar to insect bites.

The most common form affecting the lower legs is lichen amyloidosis, which causes scaly, itchy lesions particularly on the shins and can extend to other areas of the legs. These skin changes can appear:
- Red or reddish-brown
- Dark brown
- Purplish (depending on your skin tone)
- As small bumps or patches
- With varying levels of itchiness

It's important to note that scratching can make the itching worse, creating what's known as an itch-scratch cycle.
