Hi Jim, yes I had been in Afib for almost 4 years with mutiple cardio versions, ablation, they finally put a pacemaker in two years ago but it didn't really change things so they took it out and put in a defibrator / pacemaker device. I have had to go in twice when the alarm went off at the monitoring location. They have recalibrated my levels of hbm, and shortened the length of time before it goes off.\
Keep on keeping on, this is not a journey for the faint of heart unless there is an endless supply of raspberry donuts!

Well Richard, I’m wishing for a better result than you had….tough row to hoe for you! I should get some kind of Pacemaker around the end of the month, along with my meds being changed I hope to stop the Afib nonsense, but we will see.
I’m hoping to get one that is both upper and lower chambers to keep it in sync, but what do I know I’m just the patient…lol. Jim7 😎🇨🇦

Hi Richard, I’m slated to get a pacemaker, I haven’t been told when yet but soon maybe before the end of the month. I haven’t had to serious Afib attacks in the last month. Both times my heart was shocked back into its normal speed. Unfortunately my now normal speed can be as low as 43 at night and has dropped as low as 36 a few times, then goes into Afib and goes crazy. In one second according to the monitors it will jump from as low as. 37 to 133. Shocked will bring it back to around 50 but steady. I’m thinking a pacemaker will stop all that foolishness. You said that it did not help you, so now I wonder. Please advise.

Jim was on a med for possible Parkinson’s Disease and I believe that could have caused the tremors. His neuropathy was very severe and caused many serious falls.
