I was diagnosed with hATTR cm and currently taking Vyndamax. I was advised that my condition makes me a very good candidate for the cleopATTRa clinical trial. I am being screened in early September and would like to hear from other patients in the clinical trial or being considered.
AI response is incorrect. CleopATTRa is a study for a depleter medication. Unlike stabilizers or gene-silencers that prevent new protein production, this "depleter" approach aims to promote the clearance of existing harmful amyloid fibrils deposited in the heart tissue.
I would have definitely entered that study if qualified and was closer that 180 miles away. That is the golden ring if it works!
My husband tried but he had radiation treatment for prostate cancer so wasn’t qualified, so I strongly encourage those who can do it for those who cannot.
Thank you Lynn. I’m surprised no one in this group is involved in this trial. It’s a much more expanded trial than phase 1 and 2 which yielded positive results. Phase 3 has nearly 1300 participants worldwide. I was selected for screening by my cardiologist at INOVA in Falls Church VA. I’ll post an update in Sep after my testing.
