- AFib is frequently seen in people with cardiac amyloidosis as the disease progresses
- Vyndamax works by stabilizing the TTR protein to slow further amyloid buildup — it doesn't remove deposits already in the heart
- Existing deposits can continue to affect heart rhythm even while on treatment
One important note: having AFib alongside cardiac amyloidosis can affect eligibility for certain other treatments or devices, so it's worth discussing with your cardiologist.
