I first discovered the wild type amyloidosis through a heart biopsy in July 2019. Previously I had four years of searching with doctors each stating that I had COPD due to my difficulty in breathing. I am beginning my fifth year after diagnosis dealing with the wild type amyloidosis. . Due to my labored breathing even in a rested position my heart failure surgeons believe that I am in stage four.
