You should see a gastroenterologist. Maybe an endoscopy & colonoscopy and have them specifically biopsy for amyloidosis. If they don’t test for that specifically they’ll miss it. Visually everything looked great on mine and then when the 10 biopsies came back 5 tested positive for amyloidosis.

My taste feels like I drank a hot scalding cup of coffee. I’ve had this from the beginning. It’s most likely the amyloid. It got a tiny bit better with the chemo. Most foods still taste like crap especially chocolate! 😿

I never lost my sense of taste but I have lost weight, from 135 to 105. I know it’s from intestinal involvement of the disease. I am experiencing nausea at times. Have you ever had Covid because some people have lost their sense of taste after having Covid. Good luck!

That’s where I’m at now, most foods have weird taste or funky. Pepper just burns my throat and can’t recall when I tasted something sweet.
