Andre, you’re not alone. I fight this almost daily and it’s particularly tough if I’m having any setbacks physically (a cold, aches and pains, etc.) it’s tough to not want to just throw in the towel. But, then I have days where I’m feeling pretty spry and get up and say to myself, “well, guess I’ll make coffee and get some exercise”. Just remind yourself those “down days” are TEMPORARY and NORMAL. Then, get out for a walk, nothing to light the world on fire. Even the most minimal of movement or exercise can help clear our head. You’re not alone.

Do a little work each day, and you'll feel better. It's a tough road to follow. Working outside really helps me.

It's completely normal to feel down and struggle with motivation when dealing with amyloidosis. One MyAmyloidosisTeam member found that connecting with others who understand the unique challenges helped combat feelings of depression and loneliness. Building supportive relationships, whether online or in-person, can provide the emotional boost needed to stay active.

Remember that you're not imagining your symptoms or struggles - your body is dealing with real challenges that deserve acknowledgment and care. For managing daily activities while conserving energy:
- Try sitting instead of standing for certain tasks
- Stay hydrated and maintain proper nutrition
- Take short 10-30 minute rest periods when needed
- Set realistic daily goals based on your energy levels
- Don't push yourself beyond what your body can handle

Working with your doctor to address fatigue through proper treatment can help improve your energy levels and ability to stay active. FDA-approved therapies are available to help manage symptoms and slow disease progression.

Well I’m just getting over Covid so I understand Andre! I’m not really motivated myself. I’m going to give it till Wednesday and then I’m busting out of this pop stand! So I would say set a time limit and then when the time comes force yourself! Once you get started you’ll get back into the swing of things. Especially with the sunnier weather coming ☀️
